BALLSTON SPA--Mrs. Ella A. Reid, 166 Ballston Ave., died last night [27 Jan] in the Benedict Memorial Hospital [Ballston Spa] where she was taken after being stricken in her home. She was the widow of James D. Reid. She was born in Clifton Park, Oct. 31, 1886.
Prior to retirement Mrs. Reid was employed at the Van Raalte Co., Saratoga Springs. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Circle of the church, a member of Rebekah Lodge 153 for 45 years, and secretary of the lodge; member of the Malta Ridge Grange for 15 years and Senior Citizens Ballston Spa.
Survivors are a nephew, Willis Halter, V Corners, Ballston Spa; 3 grand nephews, William, James and Wayne Halter, and 1 first cousin, Oscar Halter, New York City.
Funeral service Saturday 1:30 p.m. from the Lattimore Funeral Home, the Rev. Gordon W. Johnson, pastor of the Ballston Center Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in the family plot Ballston Spa Cemetery.
