Mrs. J.C. (Cassie) Alexander, 73, of 1900 Boyd, a resident of the Tri-City area since 1925 was pronounced dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital at 11:25 a.m. Friday.

The casket will be open at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Phillips Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Rolla Davidson, pastor.

Interment in Pampa Memory Gardens will be under direction of Simpson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Alexander moved to Phillips in the early days of the oil field, with her husband. She was a charter member of the Phillips Methodist Church, organized in 1926.

Mr. and Mrs. Alexander are owners and operators of Hutchinson Drilling Company. They moved from Phillips to their home in Borger in 1953.

Mrs. Alexander was named Woman of the Year in 1962 by Altrusa Club. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Phillips Garden Club, Collectors Club, and Women of Rotary.

Surviving are her husband, J.C. Alexander; four sons, Gale Alexander, 1510 Primrose, Doyle Alexander, 1333 Coble, Keith Alexander of Phoenix, Arizona, and Stanley Alexander, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Fargason of El Paso; four sisters, a brother, 18 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
