Zora HARKINS, 80, of Higgins, died August 1, 2005 in Booker.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 4, at 10 a.m. at Higgins Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Staton officiating, assisted by George Scott. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian.
She was born July 26, 1925 in Shamrock, and attended school in
Shamrock. She married J. A. "Red" HARKINS on November 2, 1949 in Eric, Oklahoma.
She moved to Higgins from Shamrock in 1968. She was a resaurant cook and a homemaker. She was also a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Shamrock.
Her husband died in 1995. She was also preceded on death by one granddaughter, Jeanie HARKINS.
She is survived by one son, Tom HARKINS of Amarillo; one daughters, Becky NEWBERRY of Perryton; two sisters, Cora HENRY of Arlington and Flora PURCELL of Little rock, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Twin Oaks Manor, 1'l2 N.
