Orange Park, Fla - Remer Bland, 75, died Sunday at Columbia-Orange Park Medical Center.
He was born in Liberty County, Ga., and was formerly of Savannah. He retired from Continental Forest Industries as an engineer. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Orange Park and a former member of Hope Baptist Church in Savannah.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Odell Smiley Bland of Orange Park; a son R. Ellis Bland of Orange Park; a daughter, Ann B. Hartman of Metamora, Ill; four sisters, Josie B. Long of Lake Wales, Fla., Zelma B. Roberson of Jesup, Ga., Lillian B. Bruce of Meldrim, Ga, and Leila B. McCloud of Reidsville, Ga; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home in Savannah.
