JOHN JOHNSON


John Johnson, 61 years old, a resident of Newport for 28 years, died very suddenly Sunday morning at the residence of Frank Lamay on Green Road, where he made his home. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 8:00 o'clock at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. T. J. Finning officiating. Burial was at St. Patrick's cemetery. Mr. Johnson is survived by three sons, George, Owen, and Joseph Johnson of Newport, and two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Seavey of Newport and Mrs. Marie Roberts of Marlboro, Mass., and five brothers, Henry of Springfield, VT, and Napoleon, Clifford, Moses, and George, all of Canada.
