Elaine Evelyn McNeese, 67 of Clarinda, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996 at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha, Ne., after being a patient there for the past two weeks.
She was born Dec. 1, 1928, near New Market, the daughter of Wilbur and Mabel Gant Carmichael. She married John McNeese June 12,1948.
Survivors include seven children, Verlin and Wanda McNeese, Bedford; Frances and Eugene Sorensen, Omaha; Virginia and Robert Stevens, Coin; Vickie and Thomas Wolverton, Clarinda; Michael and Mildred McNeese, Clarinda; Barney McNeese, Clarinda; Tammy and Lloyd Reel, Clarinda; 19 grandchildren; brother, Lewis Carmichael, New Market; sister, Myrna Karg, Clarinda.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Carol Ann McNeese; and sister, Jean Herzberg.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 9 at the Clarinda Church of God with Rev. Mike Gibson officiating. Burial was in Memory Cemetery, New Market.
