Myrna Kay Karg was born October 7, 1942 in Clarinda, Iowa the Daughter of Wilbur and Mabel (Gant) Carmichael.

She passed away on Wednesday morning, September 17 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, following a long illness at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 10 days.

Myrna grew up and attended school in New Market until her freshman year. She then moved to McFall, Missouri and later graduated from Pattonsburg High School. Following high school she moved back to Clarinda where she worked as a telephone operator.

On January 4, 1963 she married Larry Karg in new Market. They had two children.

Myrna later worked for Lisle Corporation until her health forced her to retirement. She was an active member of the First Christian Church in Clarinda where she was involved with the CFW and was a former Sunday School teacher.

Myrna was a family person who always had a positive outlook on life. She enjoyed her many families whether it was her natural family, her church family, her Lisle family, her racing family or her dialysis family, all of these different families made her happy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Louis Carmichael, her sisters Elaine McNeese and her husband John, Jean herzberg and her husband Randall, mother-in-law Bonnie Karg and a sister-in-law Diane Selders.

Survivos include her husband, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, her father-in-law, 3 sisters and several brothers-in-law.

Funeral services were held at 10AM on Saturday September 20, 2014 at First Christian Church in Clarinda with Phil Jorgensen officiating. Burial was in Memory Cemetery at New Market. Visitation with the family present took place on Friday evening, September 19, from 4-6:30PM at the First Christian Church in Clarinda.
