Pedro De La Cruz Jr., 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born Sept. 14, 1926. His parents were Alicia (Arrecheldera) and Pedro Anthony De La Cruz Sr. He married Mary Helen (Paris) De La Cruz on June 19, 1965, in Franklin. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert De La Cruz of Philadelphia; two stepsons, James Lee Durham of Nipono, Calif., and John M. Durham of Greenwood; three stepdaughters, Mary Overstreet of Franklin, JoAnn Bose of Terre Haute and Pat A. Bell of Indianapolis; three sisters, Laura Gatto of Greenwood and Carmen Lobdell and Grace De La Cruz, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Billy De La Cruz of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Julio De La Cruz.
He was employed by Naval Avionics for 18 years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church.
He retired from the U.S. Navy.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be at Mannan Cemetery in Morgan County. Alpha Funeral Service in Indianapolis is handling arrangements.
