Julio A. DeLaCruz, 78, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at his residence in Indianapolis.
He was born March 17,1923, in Indianapolis. His parents were Pedro and Alicia (Arrecheldera) DeLaCruz. He married Shirley Reeves DeLaCruzi on July 13, 1945. She survives. Other survivors iniclude four daughters, Vicki Allen and Debbie Alvis, both of Greenwood, and Becky Walters and Jacque Arboneaux, both of Indianapolis; two bothers
Billy DeLaCruz of Indianapolis and Pedro DeLaCruz Jr. of Franklin; three sistersm Laura Gatto of Greenwood and Grace DeLaCruz and Carmen Lobdell, both of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was employed for 21 years by National Tea as a truck driver, retiring in 1982. He previously worked for Sturgis Cheese as a truck driver for 13 years.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 135.
He was a U.S Navy veteran of World War II.
A service will be conducted at ll a.m. Saturday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
