LILA E. KETTERING

Lila E. Kettering, 79, of Rock Springs, died last Saturday night at Sage View Care Center.

She was a longtime resident of Rock Springs and had been in ill health for the past several years.

She was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Riverton to the Benjamin and Lillian Geneva Cashmer Gunyan.

She attended schools in Rock Springs.

She married George Kettering Sept. 30, 1938, in Rock Springs. He preceded her in death June 8, 1980.

She was a member of the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, George Kettering and wife Donna of Rock Springs, Harvey Kettering and wife Jackie of Rock Springs, Steven Kettering of South Bend, Ind., three daughters Barbara Shedden of Salem, Ore., Betty Trout and husband Larry of Casper, and Catherine Gillock of Rock Springs, three brothers Jack Gunyan and wife Janet of Rock Springs, Ronald Gunyan and wife Rosetta of Rock Springs and Robert Gunyan of Rainer, Ore., one sister Eileen Washam of Rock Springs, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Kettering, four sisters Dorothy Corder, Betty Huffman, Verna Chabre and Florence Markisich, one brother Richard Gunyan and one sister-in-law Ruth Gunyan.

Funeral Services were conducted at today at 11 a.m. at the Vase Funeral Chapel. A Parish Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. yesterday, also at the Vase Chapel. Father Tom Sheridan officiated the services.

Interment was at the Mountain View Section of the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

The family of Lila E. Kettering will be receiving friends at 1143 Palisades Court, Rock Springs, or 219 Polk Street, Rock Springs.
