A lifelong resident, he was born in Springvale, Feb. 17, 1921, a son of Hector and Olivine Mathieu Huard. He attended local schools.
Mr. Huard was a meat cutter at the former Vic Remy Grocery Store, Springvale.
During World War II and the Korean War, he served in the Navy.
He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the VFW.
Surviving are two brothers, Rudolphe of Springvale, and Hector of Bristol, Conn.; four sisters, Mrs. Omer (Jeannette) Dumont, Rita Smith and Cecile Dominy all of Sanford, and Mrs. Ernest (Margaret) Boulet of Springvale.
A funeral Mass will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. Arrangements are by Lafrance Funeral Home.
