He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lee Bishop; children, Faye Chamberlain, Glenn (Diane) Bishop; brothers, Austin, Kenneth, Dean Bishop; sisters, Annie Bishop, Olene Ragland; grandchildren, Amy Carter and Clint Chamberlain, Meredith and Tyler Bishop; great-grandchildren, Kelsea and Brock Carter and his special friends, Ko Ko and Yum Yum.
He retired after 42 years as a train dispatcher for C&O Railroad, was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and a Masonic Lodge #130.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, May 19 at Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 1637 Williamsburg Road, Richmond, VA 23231.
