Ella Maude (Ritter) Sparks, 93, was born March 15, 1908, at Atwood, OK, and died Monday, April 2, 2001, in OKC, OK. Maude married Velta Sparks, April 7, 1928, and was a homemaker most of her life. However, during WWII, Maude worked at the Ammunition Plant in McAlester, OK. Maude came to Moore, OK from Atwood in 1957. She was preceded in. death by her parents, J.C. "Coleman" and Margaret Louella (Kidwell) Ritter; husband, Velta Sparks; daughter, Donna Kay; son, Ted R. Sparks; granddaughter, Donna Jo Rey; grandson, Jimmy Sparks; six brothers and five sisters. Survivors include sons, James C. and wife, Letha Jo Sparks of Bethany, and Kenneth W. and wife, Gayle Sparks of OKC; daughters, Marilyn and husband, L.O. Harrington, Merle and husband, Wesley T. "Wilkie; Wilkinson, Jo EIIa and husband, Larry Goddard, all of Moore, OK; daughter-in-law, Diane Sparks of OKC; brother, Bernard Ritter of Stillwater; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ritter of Hemet, CA; sixteen grandchildren, Ricki Fugate, Vivian Day, Teresa Cleaver, Jeff Sparks, Sherry Sparks, Janie Hutchens, Debbie Kraft, Steve Harrington, Mark Harrington, Sandra McClure, Cathy Kauble, Keith Wilkinson, Neil Goddard, David Goddard, Chase Liston and Jason Sparks; twenty nine great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren; special former daughter-in-law, Lavern January of Moore; and numerous relatives and friends. Services will be 11:00 A.M., Wed., April 4, 2001, at the South Colonial Chapel. Committal will follow at 3:30 P.M., at the Atwood Cemetery, Atwood, OK.
