Ruby Lillian Irwin of Atwood died at 2135 Shadow Dale, Houston, Tex., Saturday morning. She was born in Cully Chaha, Indian Territory December 12, 1894. She was 79 years of age. She was a postal employee. She came to the Calvin area as a young girl and had lived in the Atwood community over 50 years. She was married to Samuel A. Irwin Jan. 2, 1916 in Atwood. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1970. Survivors are: one son, Leon, of Ada; two daughters, Dorothy Douglas of Midwest City and Mae Jo Wagner of Ada; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Five brothers: Clyde Ritter of Atwood; Maurice Ritter of Atwood; Bernard Ritter, of Stillwater; Wendell Ritter of Garden Grove, Calif.; Merle Ritter of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Clarice Nash, Oklahoma City; Maude Sparks, of Moore and Olus Bankston of Tulsa. One son, Milton Irwin, preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1945 in Belgium during World War II. Funeral services were 2 p.m. today in the Atwood auditorium, Denny Hook of Ada officiating.
