The former MaryEllen Reuning was born November 30, 1919 in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Henry Reuning and Mildred (Rushmore) Reuning. In February of 1943 she married C. Raymond Gould who predeceased her in 1956, and in October of 1971, MaryEllen Gould married Regal Perry who predeceased her in 1999.
MaryEllen was a graduate of Wellsville High School. She was formerly employed at Reuning's Bakery, Worthington Corporation, Empire Gas and retired from National Fuel in 1981. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and caring for family and friends in their time of need. She was an avid card player and learned to play the organ later in life. She especially enjoyed Big Band music and was thrilled to have met Frank Sinatra.
MaryEllen Perry was survived by two sons, Craig (Pamela) Gould of Saratoga Springs, NY and James (Cherese) Gould of Wellsville; four grandchildren, Jenna (Matthew) Nafus of Glenville, NY, Kimberly Gould of Washington, DC, Alison (Paul) Chaffee of Douglasville, GA and Ashley (James) Edmonston of Belington, WV; two great-grandchildren, Maxum John Nafus and Emma Elaine Chaffee; three step-children, James Perry, Sally Roberts and Judy Gibbons and their families; one brother, Bruce Reuning of Wellsville, a sister-in-law, Louella Reuning of Wellsville, as well as a niece, several nephews and cousins, notably Barbara Raines of Wellsville. She was predeceased by her step-mother, Ethel Reuning, a brother, Henry "Jack" Reuning, a sister, Roberta Rugaber, a brother-in-law, Ralph Rugaber, a sister-in-law, Virginia Reuning, a nephew, James Reuning and her mother-in-law, Ethel Gould.
