The family emigrated in 1888 from the Netherlands to the USA.
On 18 January 1906 Clara married at the age of 21 years to the same aged William M. Alberda at Manhattan, Gallatin, Montana.
Clara lived in 1910 with her husband Will Alberda and their children Edith (3 y) and Peter (1 y) in Gallatin County, schooldistrict 34, this is in the area of the Dutch settlement that was later on called Holland and Amsterdam. Clara lived in 1920 with her husband wife Will Alberda and their children at the Dutch settlement Holland, later on called Amsterdam, Gallatin County, in the southwestern part of Montana. Their daughter Jeanette died there in July 1934 at the age of 13 years.
The 55 years aged Clara Alberda lived in 1940, like in 1930 and 1935, with her husband William M Alberda (55 y too) and their children Joe (24, farm manager), Henry (21, farm manager too), William C (17) and Nellie (14) still in Holland, at an own farm.
Clara died in 1958 at the age 73 years, since 1949 widow of William Alberda, who died at the age of 64 years.
