Funeral service held Sunday at Aulds Funeral Home
with Rev. Lewis Hill, pastor of the Mankins Baptist Church officiating. He was assisted by Dr. Bill Potts, pastor of Archer City First Baptist Church.
Jackie Dale Asbrook was born in Wichita Falls to Elmer James Ashbrook and Lillie Mae Moudy Ashbrook. He and Freida Gale Cretsinger were married April 22, 1960 in Henrietta. He was employed by Burk Royalty Company in Wichita Falls and had lived in Anarene for 17 years.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1970. Survivors include his wife; two daughters Cynthia Gale Fields(Jerry Donovan) and Theresa Ann Ashbrook, both of Archer City; a son,Elbert Lane Ashbrook"Lane" of Archer City; his mother Lillie May(Moudy) Ashbrook of Archer City; two sisters, Alliene Russell(George Wesley) of Bridgeport and Pauline Gipson( Johnnie Lee) of Enid Oklahoma; two brothers, Bobby Dwane of Florida and James Lloyd and wife Judy Kay Cooper Ashbrook of Olney, Texas.

Funeral services for Jackie Dale Ashbrook, 45, of Anarene, were held Sunday in Aulds Funeral Chapel. Rev. Lewis Hall, pastor of Mankins Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by Dr. Bill Potts, pastor of First Baptist Church, Archer City. Burial was in the Archer City Cemetery under direction of Aulds.
Mr. Ashbrook died Friday in Olney hospital. He was born Oct. 19, 1939 in Wichita Falls, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Ashbrook and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was employed by Burk Royalty and had lived in Anarene for 17 years. He and Frieda Gale Cretsinger were married April 22, 1960 in Henrietta, Tx. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Frieda of Anarene; two daughters, Teresa Ashbrook and Cynthia Fields, both of Archer City; a son Lane Ashbrook of Archer City; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Ashbrook of Archer City; two sisters, Mrs. Alline Russell of Bridgeport and Mrs. Pauline Gipson of Enid, Ok.; twobrothers, Bobby Ashbrook of Florida and James Ashbrook of Olney and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jon Bear, Larry Revell, J.F. Bitner, Jr., Jimmy Powell, Tom Allen, Scott Edge, Fred Edge, Jr., and E.J. Revell.
