Survivors: his wife, Margaret Lanier of Pembroke; sons, William Earle Lanier Jr., Dennis Larry Lanier and Jimmy Ray Lanier, all of Pembroke; a daughter, Iris Darlene Lanier Floyd of Pembroke; a brother, Drew V. Lanier of Savannah; sisters, Lorena Burnsed of Pembroke and Thera Fordham of Sandersville; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at Morrison Funeral Home, burial in Ash Branch Church Cemetery in Bulloch County near Pembroke.
