Edward J. Johnson, Jr., 34, entered into God's eternal care Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Gettysburg Hospital as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was the loving husband of Ashley M. (Keckler) Johnson. Born July 26, 1976, in Maryland, he was the son of Patricia Johnson and the late Edward J. Johnson, Sr. He was the loving husband of Ashley M. (Keckler) Johnson. Edward was a welder and loved doing mechanical work. Edward loved riding his Harley, working on cars, drinking his Jim Beam, and especially loved playing with his kids. In addition to his wife. Ashley, Edward leaves behind three children, Jeremiah L. Johnson, Jacob L. Johnson, and Jaelyn L. Johnson, all at home; three sisters, Dawn M. Williamson of Gettysburg, Lisa M. Smith and husband, Jeremy of New Oxford, and Jessica L. Grim of McSherrystown; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A service to remember and celebrate Edward's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville, with the Rev. David Tietje officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Red Run Church Cemetery, East Berlin. Viewings and times to share memories will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday as well as from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Serving as casketbearers will be Jessica Grim, Bobby Johnson, Carl Johnson, Arnold Johnson, Wayne Johnson, and D. J. Hurley.
