Born August 2, 1956, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Wanda I. (Call) Johnson and the late Marco E. Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a United States Army veteran and worked as a level 2 mechanic for the Carroll County Commisioners.
Edward was a member of the Littlestown Eagles Aerie 1562 and the Emmittsburg American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, drinking his Jack & Coke, playing guitar, singing, and most of all spending time with his grandkids.
In addition to his mom, Wanda, Edward leaves behind four children, Dawn M. Williamson of New Oxford, Edward J. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Ashley of Gettysburg, Lisa M. Smith and husband, Jeremy of New Oxford, and Jessica L. Grim of McSherrystown; 11 grandchildren; and five brothers, Carl Johnson of Hagerstown, MD, Bobby Johnson of Taneytown, MD, Chucky Johnson of Smithsburg, MD, David Call of Williamsport, MD, and Harry Kibler, Jr., of South Carolina.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Johnson; and his sister, Sally Johnson.
Interment, with full military detail provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard, was in St. Paul's Red Run Church Cemetery, East Berlin.
