Death of John Zentz; Pioneer of Nimrod
John Zentz, pioneer and respected citizen of the Nimrod community, died Sunday afternoon at his home at the advanced age of 84 years. Deceased had been a resident of this county more than thirty-six years and lived near Nimrod the greater part of that time. He is survived by several grown children, his wife having preceded him in death some years ago.
Funeral services were held at the Nimrod Community Hall Thursday afternoon and a large number of old friends and neighbors attended to honor his memory. Services were conducted by Rev. John Turnbull, an old friend of the Zentz family and also a pioneer of the county. Burial was in the Nimrod Cemetery next to his wife.
Arrangements were under the direction of E.J. Wheeler, local funeral director.
