CLAUDE ZENTZ IS STRICKEN
Final rites were held Thursday, Sep 16 from the Ponsford Baptist Church for Claude Otto Zentz, 77, former Ponsford resident, who died Sep 11 at Detroit Lakes, following an illness of several days, Rev. Frank McLaughlin officiated.
Claude Otto Zentz was born May 18, 1877, at Humboldt, Iowa. In 1900 he moved to Nimrod, MN and in 1920 to Ponsford where he farmed until failing health took him too Detroit Lakes several months ago.
Survivors include his wife Georgiana Moren Zentz, Detroit Lakes, one sister, Mrs. Hugo Mathinette, South Bend, Indiana, five brothers, George, St. Paul, Phillip, Ned and Arthur all of Detroit, MI and Joe Clarkson, Idaho. There are also three step-sons, Arthur, Otto, and Clarence Moren, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Nora Bjor, Hannaford, ND and Mrs. LaPinto, New Greenwich, CT.
Pallbearers were Ray Lemmon, Starr Triggs, George Conklin, Ray Masog, Ivan Siedfod, and Tore Tenneson.
Interment was in Linnell cemetery, Ponsford. Donehower Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
