(His marriage record states his birth in 1674 - listing his four oldest children - Samuel, Daniel, Hannah, Moses) Three of his five son's are listed below to date. He had three daughters as well. The Sons of the American Revolution Record he is noted in states 1674 as a birth date as well. Most abstracted Colonial Records agree with the death date given on his Stone, so perhaps the maker of the stone was misinformed about his age. He was either 80 or 85 years of age upon his death. His father Matthias St John b1628 was 45 and his mother Elizabeth Seeley St John was 44. He married Mary Comstock on December 18, 1693 in his hometown of Norwalk. They are thought to have had eight children in the 25 years between 1694 and 1720. He passed away on May 20, 1754 in Norwalk, Connecticut having lived a long life of 80 some years. He was laid to rest in this cemetery near his family. We are going with the birth date of 1669 as that is what the Connecticut Death & Burials Index states. I have James linked to what we believe is his spouse but that lister feels we are in error with 0ur information.
