West Virginia, Wills and Probate Records, 1724-1985; Will Book, Vol 3-4, 1828-1898; Jane gives generously to her siblings and nephew and nieces. Date the will was sign, 18 Sep 1858. Probated Jul 1868. MOST LIKELY JANE WAS 86 AT DEATH.
Note: Some church records (and maybe stone) has age at death of 68 years making her dob around 1800. That year does not seem possible as her mother would have been 60 years old. In addition, many family history sites have her birth year as about 1783-give or take. She was the last child of 6 total.
The age of death on her stone may have been read wrong (it's hard to see clearly), year of death carved into stone was wrong altogether and/or the church and cemetery records are wrong.
Until someone can absolutely prove her DOB, I am leaving the birth year blank.

I see your question. I consulted a book called "History of Cross Creek Graveyard and Cemetery" by James Simpson and notice the age is 68 years. That does NOT match the stone.
According to the photo, I believe it says aged 89 years which would put her birth year at abt 1779, or it could be 83 years which would put her birth year at abt 1785. Comparing the digits, the tens digit matches the 8s in 1868, not the 6, so it isn't aged 60 something. The ones digit looks like the top half is a closed circle, so it doesn't seem to match the 3 in June 13. With the marble pattern and lichens, it is difficult to tell for certain. But I would lean toward 89.
