Sarah Ann Wyatt Telford was my great grandmother. She was born in TN, the 9th of 11 children. The family moved to Marion County IL just before the Civil War, as they could see the war coming to the South. Sarah married James D. Telford in 1872. Their home property in Salem IL joined the land of my grandparents' home at the back yards. My mother as a child spent many afternoons with her grandmother, hearing family stories and baking cookies. To this day I have several recipes from Sarah Ann Wyatt Telford.
