Loretta H. Bordewick age 86, formerly of 1101 South 16th St. and the Quincy Senior and Family Center, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Sunset Home, Quincy. She was born August 7, 1924 in Quincy, Mrs. Bordewick was a daughter of William and Mary (Strieker) Rueter. She was married to the late Robert Edward Bordewick on September 10, 1949, and together they raised their family at the home on South 16th Street residing there for 55 years.

Mrs. Bordewick was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Parish and was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School. Before starting her family, Mrs. Bordewick was an employee of Gardner-Denver Company in Quincy. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, she was an avid reader and lifelong Cub fan.

Survivors include her three sons. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law,widow of Tim who passed away in 2007. She is also survived by a sister, and ten grandchildren.

Along with her husband and son, Tim, Mrs. Bordewick was preceded in death by her brother, William Rueter of Seattle, WA and a sister, Virginia (Fred) Berter of Quincy.
