Mrs. Newell, who died Monday, was a sister of Mrs. Sarah Meredith of Monroe.
In addition to her sister in Monroe, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Eula Gough, Mrs. Susie Pentecost and Mrs. Nina Hargrove, all of Kelly, and Mrs. Eva Henner [sic Hennen], New Orleans; 1 son Ilot Newell, Clarks; one brother, Gilbert Cox, Columbia; one other sister, Mrs. Ella Parker, Delhi; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
