Miss Elvira Newell died at her home in Kelly on May 5th, and interment made in the Adams cemetery nearby the following day. Rev. C. C. Wilson of Hebert was in charge of the services which were held at the Kelly Baptist church. The funeral was conducted by the Riser Funeral Home, Columbia.
The deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. W. E. Newell of Kelly; sisters, Mrs. T. W. Hargrove and Mrs. Clarence Pentecost of Kelly; Mrs. Marion Hennen of New Orleans; Mrs. Eula Gough of Kelly; and one brother, I. M. Newell of Kelly.
