Mrs. Thomas, Lancaster, Dies At 82
Mrs. Carrie Rozena Threatt Thomas, 82, of Lancaster, sister of Brownie Threatt of Rock Hill, died unexpectedly at her home Thursday.
Funeral was to be today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church by Dr. Daniel W. Cloer. Burial was to be in Westside Cemetery.
Surviving in addition to her brother in Rock Hill are two daughters, Miss Margie Thomas of the home and Mrs. W. A. Roddey of Fort Mill: one son, Frank A. Thomas of New York; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Dewey Sistare of Lancaster: and five other brothers, Hyde, Hazel, and Grover Threatt of Lancaster, Oscar Threatt of Pageland, and Clarence Threatt of Miami, Fla.

(My mother granddaughter of Oscar and a great-niece of Carrie remembers hearing back in the day that Mr. Thomas may have turned out to still be previously married when he married Carrie and this wasn't found out until years later, perhaps after his death).
