-- Lancaster - Mrs. Sarah Thomas Roddey, 69, widow of William Otis Roddey, died Tuesday in Baptist Medical Center in Columbia.
Born in Fairfield County, she was a daughter of the late Hassell Couterier and Carrie Threatt Thomas. She was a retired retail clothing clerk.
Surviving are a son, Gary Francis Roddey of Lancaster; three stepsons, Conrad Haskey "Buddy" Roddey of Westminster, Colo., Don Ray Roddey of Anderson and William Ralph Roddey of Rock Hill; a sister, Miss Margie E. Thomas of Lancaster; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today in Mahaffey Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.
