CHARLES STOCKDALE, PROSPEROUS FARMER DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS

Aplington, July 7 - Charles Stockdale, one of the most prosperous and will to do farmers in this vicinity, died Friday morning at 5 o'clock at his home, three miles west of here, of diabetes from which he has been suffering for sometime.

He was married twice and to the first union were born six children. The two oldest, Mrs. Minnie Cunningham and Miss Genie, died several years ago. Those surviving are: Jesse, Archie and Guy, residing on farms near here and Mrs. Grace Cunningham, of Dumont.

To the second union were born seven children, who with the wife survive. They are Ray, on a farm near here, and Neva, Robert, Hazel, William, Glen and Howard at home.
He is also has one sister, Mrs. Hamilton, of Iowa Falls.

Mr. Stockdale will be greatly missed in the Presbyterian Church where he has been an elder and trustee for several years. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 at the church, on Monday afternoon.
