Donald L. Marsh, 74, of Beverly Healthcare-Oil City, formerly of Pinegrove School Road, Venus, died Friday evening, Oct. 18, 2002, in the healthcare facility. Born Feb. 23, 1928, in Coal Hill, he was the son of Fred and Grace Blauser Marsh. He was a lifelong resident of the Coal Hill-Venus area. Mr. Marsh attended the one-room Gilson School in Coal Hill and then graduated from Shippenville High School. He worked for Marsh Lumber Co. and had been a humane society agent and a township constable. Mr. Marsh was married Dec. 28, 1974, to Joanna S. Humes, who survives. He and his wife had been area agents for Raleigh Home Products. He was a member of the Fertigs United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two brothers, ****; one sister, Doris Schreffler of Nampa, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by three brothers, Austin Marsh, Floyd Marsh and Gerald Marsh. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Faller Funeral Home, Fryburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. John Hickman, pastor of the Fertigs United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Craig Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Fertigs United Methodist Church, Venus, 16364, or to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County, Oil City, 16301.
