Austin L. Marsh, 58, of Venus RD 1, died at 12:06 p.m. Thursday in Oil City Hospital after a short illness.
Born August 13, 1918 at Coal Hill, he was a son of Fred B. and Grace Viola Blauser Marsh.
Mr. Marsh lived all of his life in the Venus area where he was a partner in the Marsh Lumber Co.
He married the former Helen I. Pleger, January 1, 1937. She survives.
A member of the Coal Hill Free Methodist Church, he was a licensed lay preacher in the church.
Surviving in addition to his widow, are three sons, **** of Venus RD 1, Harold E. Marsh of Star Route, Oil City and William E. Marsh of Venus RD 1; a daughter, **** of Venus RD 1; four brothers, **** of Cranberry, Gerald E. of Diamond, Donald L. of Venus, RD 1 and **** of Carmichael, Cal., a sister, Mrs. Doris Schreffler of Fair Oaks, Cal.; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
An infant son, Richard, and a brother, Floyd, preceded Mr. Marsh in death.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Hutchinson and Morton Funeral Home.
The body will be removed at noon Monday to the Coal Hill Free Methodist Church, where services will be hel at 2 P.m., with Rev. W. Dale Rhome, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Craig Hill Cemetery.
