John Schneider, 92, of Cozad, passed away March 14, 2010, at his home in Cozad.
He was born Dec. 17, 1917. at Lincoln, to Alex and Amelia (Moor) Schneider.
On Nov. 20. 1937, he married Freida Reinhardt at Cozad. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and especially growing flowers. He farmed from 1947 until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a grandson; six brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Freida, of Cozad; three daughters, Judy Strohmyer, of Lincoln, Sandy (Terry) Fisher, of Cozad and Shirley (Dale) Estergard, of Callaway; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Ruth Woehrle of Lexington and Esther Reinhardt, of North Platte.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Pastor Jeremy Jech officiating. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, at the Berryman Funeral home. A lunch will be served at Cozad Housing following the services. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
