According to his naturalization papers, Otto immigrated from Germany in 1883 departing from Hamburg, Germany (he couldn't recall name of vessel.) HIs last place of residence was Neustrailitiz, Germany where it is indicated he was born. He arrived in New York City on 24 Oct 1883 (altho I have found passenger manifest for someone his age that came in October 1884 and wonder if he recalled incorrectly?). He met and married his wife, Elizabeth Marie Merz on 11 Nov 1893 in Syracuse, Onondaga, NY where they had all their children. He is my great grandfather.
