George G. Doss, 93, of 114 Clarence Ave. died Wednesday at Community-General Hospital.

Mr. Doss was a life resident of Syracuse. He retired in 1981 as a projectionist with the DeWitt Drive-In. He also had been a carpenter and repaired watches and clocks. He was a member of the movie projectionists union.

Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Hacker; a son, Ramon G. of Grand Prairie, Texas; five daughters, Sandra D. Tipton of Girard, Pa., Carol A. Bergman of Lakewood, Joan E. Risley of Gerry, Kathryn D. Simmons of Aiken, S.C., and Deborah S. Fulks of Athens, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Myslivecek of Syracuse and Edna Gaffe of Fayetteville; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.

Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina St.
