OBITUARY :
JOHN EDWARD KEPLINGER, 921 Mulberry Avenue, died at the Washington County Hospital at 7:30 p.m. He was 47 years of age and had been ill five months.

Born and reared in Hagerstown, he was the son of Howard C. and Lena Widdows Keplinger. He attended Hagerstown schools graduating from Hagerstown High School in June 1926. He attended Columbia College and then in May 1927 became associated with the Pangborn Corparation. Since then he had been an assistant foreman and became a member of the firm's Quarter Century Club.

He was also a member of the First Brethren Church, Berean Sunday School Class, and the Turf Bowling League.

Surviving are: wife, Gaynell Hooover Keplinger; son, Dick, at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Keplinger of Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs. Ruby Huff, Washington, Mrs. Ethel Geaslon, Hagerstown; brothers, all of Hagerstown, Paul, Albert and Herschel Keplinger.

The body was taken to the A. K. Coffman Funeral Home where services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. Officiating
will be, Rev. Jmes Ault, Rev. Dr. F. Berry Plummer, Rev. Joseph Yeakle, and Rev. Eugene Fisher. Burial will be in the Smithsburg Cemetery.
