PAUL L. (Kepy) KEPLINGER SR., 69, of 402 Summit Ave., died at Washington County Hospital on Monday. Born in Hagerstown, he was the son of Howard and Lona Widdows Keplinger.

He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, and Administrative Board, Ushers League, Friendly Philathea Sunday school class, all of the church; and past president of United Methodist Men. He had been employed at Western Maryland Railway for 25 years, retiring in 1976.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Powell Keplinger; daughters, Mrs. Beverly Bumbaugh, Alexandria, Va.; Mrs. Janet Cyzyk, Baldwin; Mrs. Alice Kinch and Miss Mary Lou Keplinger, both of Hagerstown; sons, Paul L. Keplinger, Jr., and Robert P. Keplinger, both of Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs. Ruby Huff, Smithsburg; and Mrs. Ethel Geaslen, Gaithersburg; brothers, C. Albert Keplinger and Herschel C. Keplinger, both of Hagerstown; and 10 grandchildren.

Services were held at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
