HOWARD CLAYTON KEPLINGER, 118 West Wilson Blvd., died at his home Thursday evening after an illness of two years, aged 69. Born and reared at Millpoint, Washington County, the son of George and Sabina (Palmer) Keplinger, he had been living in Hagerstown for the past 50 years.

He was a member of the First Brethren Church where he taught Sunday School for 27 years and served as deacon for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lona (Widdows) Keplinger; daughters, Mrs. Ruby Huff, Washington, DC; and Mrs. Ethel Geaslen, Mt. Talamany; sons, Paul, C. Albert and Herschel L. Keplinger, all of Hagerstown; 21 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Ida Norris, Hagerstown; and Mrs. Daisy Hollinger, Windsor, Pa.; and a brother, Benjamin Keplinger, Hagerstown.

Services were held at the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
