Services were held for Allen L Davis, 56, Prairie Village Apts, State Center, who died Saturday, September 15, at his home of complications of diabetes, on Tuesday at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. The Rev David Lewis officiated and burial was in the Clemons cemetery with flag folding honors by the Frank Lewis Glick Post of the American Legion.

Mr Davis was born March 5, 1934 in Clemons to Fred and Florene Kersey Davis. He graduated from Clemons High School. He served in the U S Armey from 1957 to 1959.

On August 5, 1952 he married Elsie Diser in Nashua and they lived in the Clemons area until recently.

He was employed in the Marshalltown and Clemons areas in construction and farming, until retiring due to health problems.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion.

Surviving Mr Davis are his wife, Elsie; two sons, Kevin of Waterloo and Ken from Marshalltown; a daughter, Karen Davis of Marshalltown; a granddaughter; a brother, Stan Davis of Marshalltown and a sister, Marlys Davis of State Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
