Hilda Beatrice Cathey, 77, of the Greenhaw community in Newport died Thursday, November 12 at Harris Hospital. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert George Cathey, two brothers, Cecil Bradley and Elbert Bradley and one sister, Lethel Wood.
Survivors include two sons, James Dillehay of Jonesboro; Albert George Cathey, Jr. of Newport; three daughters, Barbara M. Hagar of Little Rock, Shirley Dean Hutchinson and Eula Juanita Cathey of Newport; one brother, Claude Bradley of Newport; two sisters, Thelma Layne and Lou Dean Sterling of Newport; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, November 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Saturday, November 14 at 2 p.m. in the Walnut Grove Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Turner.
