Mr David Lynn Eakin, age 56 of Laredo, passed away Friday, November 12, 2004 in Crockett. He was born in Denton and had lived in Laredo most of his lifetime. He was a graduate of Crockett High School, and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr Eakin had worked as a drilling consultant in the oilfield business.
Surivors include his wife, Martha Eakin; children Niki, Jennifer, Kati and Steve Eakin all of Laredo; Shelly Berry and David "Skipper" Berry; grandaughter Alexis Berry; mother Lorene Eakin Wright, aunts and uncles: Wilma and Tommie Vaden, Betty Hester, Elizabeth and Lee Foster; Billy and Dorothy Nettles, Donald and Barbara Nettles, Brenda and Jim Coleman, and Linda and Carlos Michel; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
