She was born June 19, 1923 in Chester, the sixth child born to James C and Anna M Christensen. She married Willard R. Puzey June 19, 1941 in the Manti Temple. They would have been married 70 years in June.
Bessey was a very faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as president of the Relief Society, Young Women's as well as Primary teacher. She spent 50 years doing genealogy for her ancestors. She and Willard served in the Tallahassee Florida Mission. They also served the public for 50 years as district managers for the Deseret News.
Survived by her loving husband of Richfield; children: Byron (Sandy) Puzey, Boise, Idaho; Vickie (Bill) LeMmon, Richfield; and Jimmie (Jeannie) Puzey, Richfield; foster daughter, Georgiana Craig, Richfield; 19 grandchildren, 51+ great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; brother, LaSalle (Betty) Christensen, Modesto, CA.
Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Lola Norris, and Madge Beckstead; brothers, Ivo, Frayne and Kirk Christensen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield East Stake Center, 800 North 500 East. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West and Monday at the stake center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
