The following is an excerpt from his obituary:

Bromley, George, age 59 years, of Sumas, passed away in Ashland, Oregon, Friday, August 28, (1953) following a lingering illness. Mr. Bromley had resided in the Sumas district for the past 49 years and was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.
