Mrs. Catchings was lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a housewife and mother who loved her son with all her heart.
Family members include: parents, Gary and Kathy Powell; son, Gatlin E. Catchings; husband, Christopher E. Catchings; brothers, Gary A. Powell, Jr. (Michelle); sister, Angela McKeown (Hugh); grandmother, Sarah Videtto (Tony); numerous aunts, uncles, neices, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandmother Jeanine Slagter.
Funeral services was held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with an associated pastor from Stevens Creek Community Church officiating. Interment followed in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Nick Shealy, Chris Shealy, Tommy Jones, Jason Powell, Brad Powell and Greg Powell, Jr.
