Bio

Originally from Grant County, Ky, I have lived around Augusta, Ga since 1987. I started ancestry research around 2000 and eventually found my way to findagrave.

My passion is researching & attempting to locate old grave sites for others that are off the beaten path and yes, even difficult to get to. Although not always successful, it is so rewarding to help someone piece together the past from remote locations that have not been visited in a long time.

Here is some information to pass along if you did not know... “why there were coins left on Veteran markers / stones”.
-A penny: Let's the family know that you stopped and showed respect for the service member. You don’t have to be a veteran or in the military to offer the penny.
-A Nickel: You trained with the deceased while in the military.
-A Dime: You served with the deceased while in the military.
-A Quarter: You are signifying that as a soldier, you were there / nearby when they lost their life in the ultimate sacrifice.
