Allen Dale Egbert
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Allen Dale Egbert, age 77, passed away January 12, 2002 at home in Murray.

Born Nov 24, 1924 in Twin Falls, ID son of Albert LeRoy and Lydia Ann Tolman Egbert . Married Mary Straup Dec 22, 1973; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dale served in the Eastern States Mission from 1948-1949. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served as Cub Scout leader, teacher in the Elder's Quorum for seven years, Assistant Ward Clerk, Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, Sunday School President and Executive Secretary. Dale was given to Mary as a special gift from God, and will be missed greatly. He was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; four children, Susan M. (Scott) McIlvain, Kenneth Wayne Egbert, Sandra (Terry) Nay, Michael David (Belinda) Egbert; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers and sisters, Emma Louise, Albert LeRoy Jr, Ruth, James Marion, Rulon Burl. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence; sister, Leah; and son, Allen D. Egbert Jr.

Graveside services will be Wed. 12 noon, Valley View Memorial Park, 4100 S. 4400 W. Friends may call Wed. 10-11:30 a.m., McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd.
