Sperry - Wallace Walker, 78. Sperry, died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born Sept. 29, 1894, in Sperry, the son of Harvey and Tillie Huffman Walker. He married Hattie Hinson Sept. 12, 1922, in Burlington. A farmer, he was a member of Kingston Methodist church. World War I veteran, and member of World War I Barracks of Burlington.

Surviving the wife; three daughters, Mrs. Jane Bazel and Mrs. Elsie Pforts, Mediapolis, and Mrs. Joyce Doyle, Danville; a nephew, Junior Massey, Mediapolis; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Saturday, 1:30, Kingston Methodist church; Memorial park cemetery, Burlington. Body is at Fry Chapel, Mediapolis
