Ora Jasper Blankenship, age 70 years, of Star Route, Iberia, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 3, 1977 at Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. Mr. Blankenship was born January 11, 1907 in Miller County near Iberia, MO., the son of Johnnie and Emma (Hensley) Blankenship. He was united in marriage on December 1, 1928 at Tuscumbia by Judge Edwards to Carolyn Waite, who survives of the home.

Mr. Blankenship lived in the Iberia area all his life where he was a carpenter at Fort Leonard Wood and farmed. In May of 1925 he was baptized and became a member of the Hickory Point Baptist Church near Iberia, Mo.

Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 brother, Barney, and one grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 1977 at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia with Rev. Elmo Terry officiating. Interment was in the Hickory Point Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, MO. Pallbearers were Sam Kelsay, Perry Grady, Ellis Jarrett, Jasper Hensley, Jack Spearman and Harold Gardner.
