Ruby Flossie Ponder, 86, Iberia, died Monday at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach. She was born June 22, 1909 in Miller County, a daughter of Johnnie and Emma Hensley Blankenship. She was married November 16, 1928, in Iberia, to Earl O. Ponder who survives at the home. A homemaker, she was a member of Hickory Point Baptist Church, near Iberia. She was a volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center.
Other survivors include: two sons, Adolph Ponder, Iberia, and Bobby Ponder, Granite City, Illinois; one daughter, Betty Hutchinson, Crocker; one brother, Lloyd Blankenship, Cerritos, California; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Larry Etherton will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery, near Iberia. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today.
